French government intends to provide assistance to the country’s farmers amid rising fuel prices
French authorities intend to provide assistance to the country’s farmers amid rising fuel prices. This was announced on BFMTV by French Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty Annie Genevard.
“A number of measures are being taken, primarily deferrals of contributions to the farmers’ social security system, as well as some tax obligations. We are introducing a short-term fuel loan to ease the liquidity situation of those farms most affected by rising fuel prices,” she said.
At the same time, according to the minister, there are no problems with fuel supplies in France.
As Maud Brejon, the official spokesperson for the French government and Minister Delegate for Energy, noted on France Info radio, “there is no risk of a fuel supply interruption.” “We have impressive reserves for more than 90 days,” Brejon assured.
Fuel prices in Europe continue to rise amid the conflict in the Middle East.
