French cage wheels will help tractors on heavy soils
The French company Roues Somac has developed specialized cage-type tractor wheels that allow for effective tillage work on heavily waterlogged areas and wrapping in crop residues. The all-metal design of the open cylindrical format provides reliable traction where traditional tires slip and lose efficiency. This allows the equipment to work in the field even in extreme moisture conditions.
This is reported by Maquinac.com.
To improve traction characteristics in soft soil, asymmetric blade angles were used, which contribute to better penetration into the surface. In addition to working on waterlogged areas, the development of the French manufacturer, which has specialized in traction systems since 1955, is suitable for moving over rocky areas with minimal vibration.
Roues Somac notes that the wheels are versatile, as they demonstrate effectiveness both on excessively wet areas and on dry fields with a hardened surface.
“The use of such systems allows you to expand the capabilities of the equipment in various field conditions and reduce the need for the use of separate specialized machines,” the company notes.
