FAO supported almost 17 thsd Ukrainian farmers
The head of the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) office in Ukraine, Shakhnoza Muminova, said during AgroUkraineWeek2026 that the organization has already helped almost 17 thousand farmers and 300 thousand rural families by providing seeds, feed, grain storage facilities, grants and vouchers.
According to the organization’s estimates, about 40% of rural families in Ukraine continue to engage in farming to provide themselves with food. A separate priority for FAO remains the return of land to use: the organization helps identify areas for humanitarian demining, and after clearance provides soil analysis and vouchers for fertilizers and seeds.
“The Ukrainian agricultural sector operates in conditions in which any other system could stop: contaminated fields, destroyed infrastructure, lack of resources. But despite all this, farmers continue to sow,” Shakhnoza Muminova noted.
For almost 30 years of expertise in the agri markets, UkrAgroConsult has accumulated an extensive database, which became the basis of the platform AgriSupp.
It is a multi-functional online platform with market intelligence for grains and oilseeds that enables to get access to daily operational information on the Black Sea & Danube markets, analytical reports, historical data.
