Exports of sunseed from Bulgaria fell by 26%
Bulgaria exported only 0.45 million tons of sunseed in the first eleven months of the current season, 26% less than in the same period of the previous season and 12% below the five-year average. This is reported by Agroportal.
Traditionally, almost all sunseed exports from Bulgaria fall on the EU countries, mainly the Netherlands and Austria. Turkey is the main buyer of Bulgarian sunseed outside the EU.
Sunseed imports to Bulgaria in the current season decreased to 0.5 million tons, which is below the level of the previous season (0.68 million tons).
