EU reduced imports of oilseeds and their processed products by 7%
During the forty-nine weeks of the current season, which began on July 1, 2025, the volume of oilseed imports into the EU countries amounted to 44.3 million tonnes. Compared to the same period last season, this figure decreased by 7%.

The largest soybean suppliers to the EU during the period under review were Brazil (6.2 million tonnes) and the United States (4.5 million tonnes). Rapeseed was supplied primarily by Australia (1.8 million tonnes) and Ukraine (1.5 million tonnes), while sunflower oil was supplied by Argentina (0.5 million tonnes).
Ukraine was the main supplier of oilseed to the EU, importing 1.8 million tonnes of sunflower oil, 0.4 million tonnes of soybean oil, and 0.3 million tonnes of rapeseed oil.
