Egypt bought 60,000 tons of Ukrainian corn
Egypt’s state-owned grain importer GASC has purchased 60 thsd tonnes of Ukrainian corn in a private transaction after the transfer of offers made during the official tender.
The grain crop was purchased in two batches of 30 thsd tonnes each from Egyptian African Co. at a price of $308 per tonne FOB + $15 per tonne freight (total $323 per tonne CFR). The corn is to be delivered between the second half of February and early March 2023.
