Corn prices are expected to decline in India
Indian corn futures prices are expected to decline in the coming weeks as the new harvest enters the market.
Traders told Reuters that they expect the higher harvest to contribute to lower prices. In addition, low global corn prices will affect the domestic market.
Heavy rains in September increased the sowing of winter crops, which may partially offset the 9 percent drop in summer crops.
According to USDA forecasts, India’s corn production in 2024/25 will reach a record 37 million tons.
