China has opened its market to Ukrainian flour
Ukraine and China have signed an agreement that opens the possibility of exporting Ukrainian wheat flour to the Chinese market. This was announced on Facebook by the head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Serhiy Tkachuk.
“Today (April 6 – ed.) with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine, Mr. Ma Shenkun, I signed an international agreement that officially opens the export of Ukrainian wheat flour to the People’s Republic of China,” Tkachuk wrote.

The protocol was concluded between the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Ukraine and the General Administration of Customs of China. It defines clear requirements for all stages of production and supply of products, in particular, from growing wheat to exporting finished flour, including ensuring traceability and compliance with sanitary and phytosanitary standards.
According to the head of the department, the opening of the Chinese market creates new opportunities for Ukrainian producers, including access to one of the largest markets in the world, the development of processing and an increase in exports of value-added products.
He also emphasized that this is not only about expanding the geography of exports, but also about a gradual transition from a raw material model to the export of finished products.
