Cargo transshipment in Ukrainian seaports in seven months reached the figure for the whole of last year
Ukrainian seaports handled 59.9 million tons of cargo in the first seven months of this year, almost as much as in the entire year of 2023.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
“According to the operational data of SE USPA for January-July 2024, the ports of Ukraine handled 59.9 million tons of cargo, compared to 34.4 million tons in 2023. This figure is almost equal to the transshipment volumes for 12 months of 2023 (62 million tons),” the statement said.
In general, in July 2024: 7 million tons were transshipped, which is 2.2 times more than in 2023.
4.2 million tons of agricultural products were exported to 46 countries.
At the end of July, it was reported that in the 11 months of the Ukrainian sea corridor’s operation, the cargo turnover of the Greater Odesa ports amounted to 60 million tons.
