Brazil exported 2.6 mln tons of soybean meal in June 2026, up 36.8% from the same period last year. According to Brazil’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (SECEX), exports totaled 1.9 mln tons in June 2025.

The sharp increase reflects ample soybean meal supplies in South America and strong availability on the global market. This could intensify competition among exporters and put downward pressure on global spot prices as South American shipments continue at a high pace.

Meanwhile, soybean meal futures on the Dalian Commodity Exchange continued to rise. The benchmark September 2026 contract closed at 3,026 yuan/t on July 6, up 36 yuan/t from the previous trading day. However, analysts believe that the surge in Brazilian exports could limit further gains in soybean meal futures prices.
