Brazil’s soybean exports rise 5.2% in May

Brazil exported 14.83 mln tons of soybeans in May 2026, marking an increase compared with the same period last year, according to data from the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX).

In May 2025, soybean exports stood at 14.10 mln tons. This represents a year-on-year growth of around 5.2%, reflecting stronger shipment volumes from the world’s largest soybean exporter.

Analysts note that the higher export pace from Brazil, combined with ample global soybean supply, is adding pressure to domestic spot and futures prices, while also intensifying competition in the global oilseed market.
