Brazil live hog values climb – Cepea
Brazil’s live hog values have been increasing in mid-November, according to a recent market report from Cepea.
However, price drops registered at the beginning of the month have led the partial average (up to Nov. 13) to be still lower than that verified in October.
As for corn and soybean meal, the most important inputs for raising hogs, quotations have been moving up from October to November in the domestic market. This scenario has been reducing the purchase power of swine farmers against these inputs in São Paulo, Cepea said.
