Bangladesh issues another tender to buy 50,000 T wheat
Bangladesh’s state grains buyer has issued another international tender to purchase 50,000 metric tons of milling wheat, European traders said on Wednesday.
The deadline for submission of price offers is Nov. 7, they said.
A previous tender for 50,000 tons of wheat closed on Tuesday with price offers still being considered and no purchase yet reported. GRA/TEND
Price offers in the latest tender are sought on CIF liner out terms. These include ship unloading costs for the seller.
Shipment is sought 40 days after the date of contract signing. The wheat can be sourced from any worldwide origins except Israel and is sought for shipment to two ports, Chattogram and Mongla.
Traders said demand from Bangladesh has been quiet in recent months.
However, floods in Bangladesh in August and October caused heavy damage to food crops, especially rice, and increased export demand is expected.
