Austria will provide an additional €2 mln for the Grain from Ukraine initiative
Austria will provide an additional 2 million euros to the Grain from Ukraine initiative and wants to contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine, for which it will send a business delegation to Kyiv at the end of March.
This was announced by the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, at a joint briefing in Kyiv with her Ukrainian counterpart, Andriy Sybiga.
“I am very pleased to announce an additional contribution of 2 million euros to the Grain from Ukraine initiative, which is so important not only for Ukraine but also for the world. In addition, Austria supports the reforms that are now necessary for accession to the EU. For example, thanks to the direct support of the Austrian Federal Competition Office, a visit was organized for Ukrainian colleagues. We are also open to supporting new concrete cooperation projects to help you on your path to integration into the European Union,” she said.
The minister summarized that in total, Austria provided 300 million euros in bilateral financial and humanitarian assistance, as well as supporting the European Peace Fund and contributing to the EU budget, which provided support for humanitarian demining, energy security, IDPs, and women and children affected by Russian aggression.
