Argentina nearly completes new soybean harvest
Argentina has nearly completed harvesting its 2025/26 soybean crop. According to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, 99.1% of the planted area had been harvested by early July.
The exchange forecasts the country’s soybean production at 50.1 million tons. Argentina remains the world’s largest exporter of soybean oil and soybean meal, making the size of its harvest a key factor for global oilseed markets.
Meanwhile, the country’s corn harvest has reached 52.9% completion. Corn production is expected to hit a record 64 million tons.
At the same time, Argentine farmers have accelerated sowing of the 2026/27 wheat crop thanks to predominantly dry weather. So far, 80.9% of the planned 6.5 million hectares has been planted.
