Analysts continue to lower the forecast of sunseed harvest in Ukraine and Russia
According to Fastmarkets’ July monitoring, Ukraine’s minimum sunseed harvest is forecast at 13-13.5 mln tonnes, down from 14-14.5 mln tonnes expected three weeks ago, as abnormally high temperatures damaged the crop.
“But some market sources keep the forecast at 14.2 million tons or higher. In Russia, the minimum estimates remained at 15 million tons, while the maximum estimates decreased to 16.5 million tons from 17.5 million tons,” the report said.
