Algeria purchased half a mln tons of durum wheat
On December 23, the Algerian state-owned company OAIC held a tender for the purchase of at least 50,000 tonnes of durum wheat of any origin, Reuters reported.
500,000-550,000 tonnes of wheat were purchased at a price of $315 C&F. Traders believe that some of the purchased wheat, which will be shipped on Handymax vessels, has a higher price: $323-325 C&F.
Under the tender terms, the wheat will be shipped on February 1-15 and 16-28, March 1-15, and March 16-31.
