Algeria likely purchased around 200,000 metric tons of soft wheat in a tender that closed on Tuesday, May 20, according to traders. Market participants estimate the purchase price at around $284–292 per ton.

Shipments are expected to be directed to the ports of Mostaganem or Tenes, with delivery scheduled for July, August, and September. The choice of ports may limit volumes, as both terminals can only accommodate smaller vessels.
