Algeria announced a tender for the purchase of wheat
Algeria’s state grain agency OAIC has issued an international tender to purchase at least 50,000 tonnes of milling wheat of optional origin. The deadline for submitting offers is February 24. While the nominal tender volume is set at 50,000 tonnes, actual purchases may exceed this amount depending on price offers and market conditions.
Shipments of wheat from European or Black Sea origins are scheduled for April 16–30, May 1–15, and May 16–31. If the wheat is supplied from South America or Australia, shipment periods will take place one month earlier.
