Agricultural attaches will appear in Ukrainian embassies
Ukraine is working on creating the positions of agricultural attachés at diplomatic and trade institutions abroad.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine following the meeting of the department’s leadership with the delegation of the European Union and representatives of the embassies of EU countries.
In particular, among the key topics of the meeting were:
the results of screenings within the framework of the negotiation process with the EU and further harmonization of legislation;
the creation of the institute of agricultural attachés – an effective tool of agricultural diplomacy;
strengthening the synergy between economic, agricultural and environmental areas.
“Agricultural diplomacy is the next strategic step. Ukraine is already working on creating the positions of agricultural attachés at diplomatic and trade institutions, which will represent the interests of the Ukrainian agricultural sector abroad,” the message said.
EU representatives, for their part, confirmed their readiness to continue supporting Ukraine – both financially and technically. They also noted the importance of developing the institute of agricultural attaches, which will contribute to the promotion of Ukrainian products on international markets.
