ADM has expanded its Customer Creation and Innovation Center (CCIC) in Hungary to accelerate the development of new beverages and food products for markets in Central and Eastern Europe, the company said.

Following the upgrade, the laboratory’s space has doubled. This will allow ADM to broaden its product development capabilities and more quickly deliver tailored solutions for soft drink manufacturers and food service operators.

The company noted that the upgraded center will help clients develop modern products ranging from ready-to-drink beverages and coffee solutions to functional and wellness drinks with reduced sugar content.

The decision to expand the laboratory comes amid growing demand for functional non-alcoholic beverages. According to industry forecasts, Hungary’s non-alcoholic beverage market, valued at around $3 billion in 2025, is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 3.5% through 2030, with the food service segment showing the strongest momentum.

ADM added that the expansion of its Hungarian center is part of its broader global strategy to develop a network of innovation laboratories. It follows the launch of the LaSavista® brand for the HoReCa segment, the acquisition of UK-based Fuerst Day Lawson Limited, and the opening of a new flavor solutions laboratory in South Africa.

For reference: Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) is one of the world’s largest agricultural processors and food ingredient suppliers. The company is headquartered in Illinois, USA, operates in 140 countries, and is among the top three exporters of Ukrainian agricultural products.
