14 new markets have opened for Ukrainian food since the beginning of the year
14 new export markets have been opened this year (as of March) for Ukrainian food products.
This was stated by Serhiy Tkachuk, Head of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, in an interview with Ukrinform.
He noted that since 2022, 89 new markets have been opened for food from Ukraine.
“We have intensified our work, and partners who support Ukraine have begun to open their markets faster. Geography has also changed: more Asia, more Africa, diversification instead of dependence on individual markets,” Tkachuk said.
According to him, the key products that Ukraine exports are poultry meat, eggs and egg products, as well as honey, grains, sugar, etc.
He emphasized that the opening of export markets for Ukrainian food products in the world is, in fact, a recognition of the domestic control system.
“Regardless of the challenges of war, our control system is working, and we confirm, ensure, and guarantee that the products we will supply to these countries in exchange for the opening of the market will meet the highest quality standards,” Tkachuk concluded.
