Zelenskyy warns of continued Russian attacks on Black Sea ports
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia would continue striking port infrastructure in the Black Sea. According to him, energy facilities, bridges and water supply systems are also being targeted.
The president emphasized that Russian strikes on civilian infrastructure are no longer merely plans but are already taking place. Ukrainian air defense forces are intercepting some aerial threats, but protection of critical infrastructure needs to be strengthened.
“All of us — the military, the central government and local authorities — must also do our part. Fewer words, more protection, more action,” Zelenskyy said.
The president also warned of further escalation by Russia and stressed the need to pressure it into agreeing to a ceasefire, at least regarding civilian infrastructure. At the same time, he believes Ukraine must respond to Russian attacks, as showing weakness will not stop Putin.
