Zelenskyy: International Maritime Organization will facilitate the work of the Ukrainian sea corridor
The International Maritime Organization has adopted a resolution to support Ukraine in the Black Sea.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address on December 4.
“The Assembly of the International Maritime Organization has adopted a resolution in support of our efforts in the Black Sea. I congratulate Ukraine on its success in restoring navigation and the new grain corridor. By the way, this export corridor has already yielded results – more than 7 million tons of cargo,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, from now on, the International Maritime Organization will support Ukrainian efforts and should assess what technical assistance Ukraine needs for the normal operation of the maritime corridor.
As a reminder, Ukraine exported more than 2 million tons of agricultural products through its ports in November.
