Winter crop areas have increased in Germany

According to the German National Statistical Office, the area under winter grain cultivation in the country increased to 5 million hectares during the autumn sowing campaign, an increase of 1.3% compared to last year.

Winter wheat cultivation totaled 2.9 million hectares (up 0.3% compared to last year), while winter barley cultivation totaled 1.3 million hectares (up 4.9%).

Winter rapeseed cultivation also increased compared to last year, reaching 1.1 million hectares (up 4.9%).
