Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed to the President of Egypt Ukraine’s readiness to build a food logistics hub
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone with President of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
“Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that, despite everything, Ukraine remains a guarantor of food security and is ready to do more. He confirmed Ukraine’s readiness to build a food logistics hub in Egypt,” the statement said.
The presidents also discussed the development of bilateral relations between the states, primarily in the field of trade.
As noted, last year, trade turnover between Ukraine and Egypt amounted to over $2 billion. This is almost the same as it was before the start of the Russian Federation’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
“Volodymyr Zelensky and Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi agreed to work on increasing trade volumes and instruct the teams to begin preparing an agreement on preferential trade and hold a meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission,” the Office of the President added.
Volodymyr Zelensky also invited his colleague to visit Ukraine.
