ViOil set to process 150 kt of high-oleic sunflower
Vinnytsya Oil and Fat Plant, a structural division of the ViOil group, has started the processing of high-oleic sunflower. The company plans to process 150 thou. t of seeds.
"In 2019, the Ukrainian agrarians produced a good crop of high oleic sunflower. We are fully satisfied with the quality of seeds," comments Igor Gadomsky, Commercial Director of the industrial group ViOil.
According to him, ViOil signed long-term contracts with both producers of sunflower seed and buyers of high-oleic sunflower oil.
"In the current season, ViOil plans to become the No.1 producer and exporter of this product in Ukraine," he adds.
As a reminder, in 2018/19 crushing plants in Ukraine produced 5.5 mln t of sunflower oil.
