Vietnam’s feed industry maintains stable wheat use
Wheat imports and consumption remain unchanged, with feed mills continuing to use it in combination with corn and other grains.
Vietnam’s feed industry maintains stable wheat utilization: according to the latest USDA FAS report, wheat volumes for feed in 2024–2026 will remain roughly flat. Feed mills continue to use wheat as a reliable but limited energy source, combining it with corn and other grains without significant changes to formulas.
Total wheat imports in 2025/26 are projected to be around 5.7 million tonnes, primarily driven by the milling industry. Supplier dynamics continue to shift: Australia’s share is declining, while Canada and the United States are strengthening their positions due to competitive quality and prices.
For feed mills, current forecasts point to a stable wheat supply and a predictable role for this grain in feed rations.
