Vietnam buys feed grain amid falling prices
Vietnamese importers of feed grain are pleased with the price drop. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, wheat imports rose 2.8 times to 1.74 million tons in January-February, driven by a 25 percent drop in prices. The grain traded at $276 per ton during the period, attracting buyers.
Corn imports, trading at US$256 per ton, down 25%, also doubled over the same period. Soybeans, another important ingredient, also caught the attention of traders thanks to a 20% drop in prices, leading to a 70% increase in imports.
