Vessels heading to Ukrainian ports will be considered as “potential carriers of military cargo” – Russian Defense Ministry
The Russian Ministry of Defense has stated that all vessels sailing in the Black Sea to Ukrainian ports will be considered as “potential carriers of military cargo.” The Russian Defense Ministry reported this on Telegram.
“In connection with the termination of the Black Sea Initiative and the closure of the maritime humanitarian corridor, from 00.00 Moscow time on July 20, 2023, all ships sailing in the Black Sea to Ukrainian ports will be considered as potential carriers of military cargo.
Accordingly, the countries of flag of such vessels will be considered involved in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of the Kyiv regime.
In addition, a number of maritime areas in the northwestern and southeastern parts of the international waters of the Black Sea have been declared temporarily dangerous for navigation. Relevant information warnings about the withdrawal of security guarantees to mariners have been issued in accordance with the established procedure,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
