Uzbekistan plans to more than double fertilizer exports to the EU

Uzbekistan plans to more than double its mineral fertilizer exports to the European Union in the coming years. The country aims to increase annual sales to the EU market to $500 mln.

The first step is a new agreement between Uzbek company Uzkimyoimpeks and French importer Eudaira. Under the deal, 10 thsd tons of mineral fertilizers will be supplied to France by the end of 2026.

The agreement was signed during the SPACE 2026 exhibition in Rennes, where Uzbek chemical companies held talks with European importers and distributors.

In 2025, EU countries imported $233.5 mln worth of mineral fertilizers from Uzbekistan. Reaching the $500 mln target would therefore mean more than doubling the value of shipments.

Uzkimyoimpeks is the export-import arm of state chemical group Uzkimyosanoat. Expanding fertilizer sales to the EU is part of Uzbekistan’s broader strategy to increase exports and strengthen its domestic chemical industry.
