Uzbekistan: From 2025, wheat trade will be carried out in a new manner
In the 2025 grain season, calculations for wheat purchased at the expense of state resources will be carried out in a new manner. In accordance with the relevant resolution, it is now stipulated that the “Uzbekistan Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange” JSC must publish the average price for grade 3 wheat on its official website by June 1 of each year, based on prices formed from January to April.
Also, in order to increase the efficiency of the processes of receiving and distributing grain through warehouses, as well as financial settlements between the Fund, commercial organizations and farmers, the State Agricultural Support Fund was allowed to purchase wheat on a contractual basis through the d-xarid.uz information system.
According to the document, the following procedures were approved:
• Location (dislocation) of warehouses accepting wheat for temporary storage, state resources and seed from the 2025 harvest.
• Coefficients for determining the price of wheat purchased for state reserves in 2025 by grade.
• Volumes of vernalization of seed wheat in cold storages for the 2026 harvest.
The main purpose of this resolution is to fully digitize the wheat procurement process, ensure transparency and efficiency in the sector, as well as strengthen the relationship between growers, storage organizations and the state on a legal basis.
