US Senate has passed a resolution against Trump’s global duties

US senators on Thursday voted for a bipartisan resolution demanding that the administration of Donald Trump repeal the president’s increased tariffs on goods from US allies – the European Union, Japan and South Korea.
According to The Hill, four Republicans joined Democrats in passing the document. This is the third such resolution this week – the Senate also previously opposed tariffs on Canada and Brazil.
However, the decision of the upper house of Congress is unlikely to have any impact. Speaker Mike Johnson is unlikely to bring the bill to the House of Representatives for consideration.
