US lifts sanctions on Belarusian potash
The United States of America is lifting sanctions on Belarusian potash. This was stated to journalists by the US Special Envoy for Belarus John Cole on December 13, BELTA reports.
Lukashenko’s talks with US Special Envoy Cole continued on Saturday.
“In accordance with President Trump’s instructions, the US is lifting sanctions on potash. I think this is a very good step by the US for Belarus. We are lifting them now,” said John Cole.
He noted that communication on sanctions will continue.
“As relations between the two countries normalize, more and more sanctions will be lifted,” said the US representative.
John Cole also expressed hope that in the future the parties will reach a situation where there will be no sanctions at all.
