UkrOilProm reports suneed, soybean and rapeseed stocks in Ukraine as of early June
As of June 1, 2026, Ukraine’s sunflower seed stocks were estimated at 2.16 million tonnes, according to calculations by the UkrOilProm Association on the supply and utilization of oilseed crops during the 2025/26 season.
According to the association, total sunflower seed resources in the current marketing year amounted to 10.6 million tonnes, including 10.2 million tonnes produced domestically. During the first nine months of the season, 8.41 million tonnes of sunflower seeds were utilized on the domestic market, primarily for crushing into sunflower oil.
Soybean stocks at the beginning of June were estimated at 1.12 million tonnes. Total soybean resources for the season are projected at 5.35 million tonnes, of which nearly 2 million tonnes were exported.
The lowest carryover stocks among the major oilseed crops were recorded for rapeseed, at 254,000 tonnes. Total rapeseed resources during the season amounted to 3.44 million tonnes, while exports reached 1.86 million tonnes.
According to UkrOilProm estimates, the largest share of both sunflower seeds and rapeseed was directed to domestic processing. Since the beginning of the season, processors have crushed 8.41 million tonnes of sunflower seeds and 1.32 million tonnes of rapeseed for oil production. Soybeans, meanwhile, have maintained a balance between exports and domestic consumption: 1.99 million tonnes were exported, while 2.23 million tonnes were used for processing and other domestic market needs.
As the season draws to a close, sunflower seeds continue to account for the largest carryover stocks among Ukraine’s major oilseed crops, while rapeseed enters the new marketing year with minimal remaining inventories.
