Ukrainian wheat exports hit a record high in September
September exports totaled 4.36 MMT (+19% from August, +18% from September 2020/21) that is a record monthly volume. Exports have at last exceeded last year’s pace: almost 9 MMT has been shipped abroad this season, or up 3% y-o-y, UkrAgroConsult.
Egypt stepped up purchases in September and climbed up to second position on the top list of the biggest importers of Ukrainian wheat.
The following importers boosted purchases from last season: Indonesia (+55%), Turkey (up threefold), Israel (+81%).
A decline is seen in demand from countries such as: Egypt (-15%), Pakistan (-26%), the Philippines (-19%), Bangladesh (-46%).
