Ukrainian soybeans are in demand in the EU and Middle Eastern markets
In December, soybean exports from Ukraine amounted to 237 thousand tons. This was reported by analysts at Spike Brokers.
The main sales markets were Turkey (86.1 thousand tons), the Netherlands (56.6 thousand tons) and France (33.3 thousand tons).
The regional structure was dominated by MENA (40.5%) and Europe (39.6%), which together formed more than three quarters of all shipments.
Significant volumes were also sent to Germany, Romania, the UAE and Egypt. Deliveries to Asia and North Africa remain relatively small.
Overall, soybean exports demonstrate good diversification, with strong demand from both the EU and Middle Eastern markets.
The spot price index for GMO soybeans delivered to SRT-port for export within 30 days increased by $2 to $425 excluding VAT. The spot index for GMO soybeans for processing decreased by $3 to $461 including VAT.
