Ukrainian ports handled 52.8 million tons of cargo in 11 months
In January-November 2023, Ukrainian ports handled 52.8 million tons of cargo. This was announced by Yuriy Lytvyn, Head of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, during the final meeting of the Ministry of Infrastructure with heads of diplomatic missions and the public.
Of the 52.8 million tons of transshipped cargo, 47.9 million tons were exports and 4.6 million tons were imports.
In addition, 13 thousand 45 vessels were handled in the ports of the Danube Region in 11 months of 2023. Over the same period last year, 8944 vessels were handled. It should be noted that in 11 months of 2021, the ports received only 3252 vessels.
In 11 months of 2023, the total volume of cargo transshipment through Ukrainian ports on the Danube reached 29.4 million tons, which is more than twice as much as the 14.5 million tons handled in the same period last year. At the same time, only 4.9 million tons were handled in 11 months of 2021.
