Ukraine harvested more than 50 mln tons of crops

Ukraine has harvested 50.4 million tons of new crops on an area of 14.2 mln ha. A total of 34.3 mln tons of grains, 13.6 mln tons of oilseeds and 2.5 mln tons of sugar beet were harvested.
- wheat – threshed on an area of 4.9 million hectares, harvested 22.3 million tons;
- barley – 1.4 million hectares were harvested, with a harvest of 5.5 million tons;
- peas – 212.2 thou hectares were harvested, with a total harvest of 465.3 thou tons;
- corn – 920.7 thou hectares were harvested, with a harvest of 4.7 mln tons;
- millet – 77.7 thou hectares harvested, 147.8 thou tons harvested;
- buckwheat – 78.3 thou hectares harvested, 115.5 thou tons harvested;
- sunseed – 3.3 million hectares were harvested, 6.6 million tons were harvested;
- soybeans – 1.6 million hectares were harvested, 3.5 million tons were harvested;
- rapeseed – 1.3 million hectares were threshed, 3.5 million tons were harvested.
In terms of gross grain harvest, the leaders are agricultural producers in Odesa region – 4.2 mln tons, Poltava region – 2.9 mln tons, and Dnipropetrovs’k region – 2.5 mln tons.
In terms of yields, farmers in Khmelnytsky region are ahead with 6.55 t/ha, Bukovyna – 6.01 t/ha, and Ivano-Frankivsk region – 5.89 t/ha.
