Ukrainian grain export 2021/22 – volume of corn exported 15% ahead last season’s
taple grains export shipment from Ukraine since the start of the 2021/22 season has crossed 33.5 mln t. As reported by the Agrarian Ministry, commodities shipment as of Jan. 10 increased by 6.32 mln t, 23.24% up YoY (Jan. 10, 2020: 27.2 mln t).

As a reminder, wheat export from Ukraine in 2021/22 was limited to 25.3 mln t. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Agrarian Ministry and grain market participants. The Government also considers milling wheat export from the country. The decision is reported to be taken in January.
The new crop progress in Ukraine as of 20 December came to 84.17 mln t of grains and legumes on 15.71 mln ha. The average yield made up 5.36 t/ha.
Agricultural commodities formed 45% of the total structure of Ukraine’s exports in 2020. Europe imported 32.4% of products shipped.
Wheat export from Ukraine in 2021/22 is projected by the USDA in its December report at 24.2 mln t, 0.2 mln t above the previous report. Corn outlook for Ukraine was improved by the USDA analysts, production should reach 40 mln t in 2021/22.
