Ukrainian farmers have started sowing sunflowers, soybeans and sugar beets
All regions have started sowing spring crops in Ukraine. 476.7 thousand ha of grain and pulses crops were sown. Of them – 68.3 thousand hectares of wheat, 291.5 thousand hectares of barley, 81.8 thousand hectares of peas and 28.7 thousand hectares of oats.
Farmers of the following regions sowed the most grains and pulses:
In Odesa, 7 thousand hectares of wheat, 41.5 thousand hectares of barley, 28.4 thousand hectares of peas and 1.5 thousand hectares of oats were sown.
In Ternopil Oblast, there are 14,400 hectares of wheat, 32,200 hectares of barley, 3,100 hectares of peas and 1,100 hectares of oats.
In Poltava Oblast there are 6.4 thousand hectares of wheat, 56.2 thousand hectares of barley, 4.7 thousand hectares of peas and 2.3 thousand hectares of oats.
In the Khmelnytsky region – 7.2 thousand hectares of wheat, 23.7 thousand hectares of barley, 0.8 thousand hectares of peas and 0.5 thousand hectares of oats.
In Vinnytsia there are 5.9 thousand hectares of wheat, 27.1 thousand hectares of barley, 4.4 thousand hectares of peas and 0.2 thousand hectares of oats.
In the Mykolaiv region – 2.2 thousand hectares of wheat, 33.4 thousand hectares of barley, 17.6 thousand hectares of peas and 0.5 thousand hectares of oats.
Over the past week, Ukrainian agrarians sowed grain and pulses crops on 262.2 thousand hectares. Poltava region is the leader, with 44.2 thousand hectares planted there.
The Poltava region is also leading among sugar beet crops – 10.2 thousand hectares have already been sown. The agrarians of Vinnytsia, Volhynia and Rivne region have also started sowing this crop.
Agrarians in Kyiv region began to sow sunflowers, and in Vinnytsia – soybeans.
