Ukrainian farmers have already sown 1.8 million hectares
Despite the terrorist attacks of the enemy, Ukrainian farmers stand as an indestructible shield. Every day they work on their front to ensure food security of the state and the world. Sowing of winter crops continues throughout the country. reports the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
As of October 10, 2022, farmers in all regions have already planted 1.8 million hectares, or 38% ahead of the forecast.
- Wheat is planted on 1.6 million hectares, or 41%.
- 154,000 hectares, or 23%, were sown with barley.
- Rye is sown on 49,000 hectares, or 57%.
In the previous week, 597,000 hectares of winter crops were sown for grain.
Farmers of Ternopil Oblast sowed the most winter crops – 129,000 hectares, or 61% of the forecast.
Agricultural producers of all regions of Ukraine completed the sowing of winter rapeseed, 994 thousand hectares of which were sown, or 103% of the forecast.
