Ukrainian factories produced over 1 mln tons of sugar
As of December 1, 26 sugar factories that are part of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine processed 8 million 360 thousand tons of sugar beets and produced 1 million 250 thousand tons of sugar.
This was reported by the press service of the association.
According to the association, the sugar yield is currently 15.02% (last season – 14.11%), which is due in particular to the increased sugar content of beets upon acceptance – 17.48% (+0.71% compared to 2024).
In December, 22 sugar factories will continue processing beets. Among the regions, Vinnytsia region remains the leader in sugar production, where 263 thousand tons were produced.
The association added that beet processing is also carried out by the Horokhiv Sugar Plant, which is not part of Ukrtsukr and does not provide operational information on the progress of processing.
As reported, in January-September 2025, Ukraine exported only 298.71 thousand tons of sugar worth $151.94 million. For comparison, in the same period in 2024, 476.42 thousand tons of Ukrainian sugar worth $283 million were shipped for export.
Thus, export volumes decreased by 177.71 thousand tons (by 37.3%), and revenue decreased by $131.06 million, or by 46.3%.
