Demand for Ukrainian old-crop corn from European buyers is weakening. Its price remains relatively high compared to South American grain, Spike Brokers reports.

Corn

Currently, the market is awaiting the second crop of cheap corn from Brazil, with deliveries planned closer to the end of June – beginning of July.

On the domestic market, the price of old and new crop corn is falling. Trading activity is gradually decreasing.

Wheat

The new crop is strengthening its dominance on the market, pushing old wheat out of the trade focus. Interest in last year’s grain is rapidly fading — demand is minimal, and prices are noticeably dropping. Buyers are increasingly focusing on new wheat as the harvesting season approaches. Against this background, the price of the new crop wheat is also decreasing — the market feels the pressure of the expected supply.

Sunflower

Sunflower prices continue to decline, creating a weak market for sellers. Amid low activity and uncertainty about future demand from processors, farmers, on the contrary, show high readiness to sell. This leads to increased supply, and with limited purchasing interest — only intensifies price pressure.

Latest buyer indications for the 2025 crop:
