Ukraine’s grain exports exceed 3.5 mln tons

As of August 28, Ukraine exported 3.519 mln tons of grains and pulses since the beginning of the MY 2026/27. This is 495 thsd tons, or 12.3%, below the level recorded during the same period last season, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

The largest decline was recorded in wheat exports. Since the beginning of the season, Ukraine has shipped 1.584 mln tons of wheat, down 969 thsd tons, or about 38%, compared with the same period last year.

Barley exports also remain below last year’s level. As of August 28, Ukraine exported 363 thsd tons of barley, down 199 thsd tons year-on-year. Rye exports since the beginning of the season amounted to just 0.2 thsd tons.

Corn exports, however, show the opposite trend. Ukraine has already shipped 1.511 mln tons of corn, up 629 thsd tons, or about 71%, compared with the same period of the previous season.

In addition, Ukraine exported 13.3 thsd tons of flour since the beginning of the MY 2026/27, up 4.1 thsd tons, or about 45%, year-on-year. In grain equivalent, flour exports amounted to 9.2 thsd tons.
