Ukraine’s grain exports cross 50 mln tons
As of June 26, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 50 mln 305 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, up 1 mln 881 thsd tons or 3.8% compared to the previous year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 18 mln 268 thsd tons, which is 1 mln 643 thsd tons or 9.8% more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 2 mln 475 thsd tons of barley and 1.6 thsd tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 29 mln 020 thsd tons, which is 227 thsd tons more than last year.
In addition, 97.3 thsd tons of flour (or 129.7 thsd tons in terms of grain) were shipped abroad, which is 53.7 thsd tons or 55% less than last year.
Preliminary data on grain and pulses exports were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on June 24. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY the total export volume of grains and pulses was 49 mln 761 thsd tons.
