Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry summoned Israeli ambassador over grain from occupied territories
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine summoned the Israeli ambassador to deliver a note of protest over a ship with Ukrainian grain that Russia is taking out of the occupied territories.
This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiga, on the social network X.
“Friendly Ukrainian-Israeli relations have the potential to benefit both countries, and Russia’s illegal trade in stolen Ukrainian grain should not undermine them. It is difficult to understand the lack of an adequate response from Israel to Ukraine’s legitimate appeal regarding the previous ship that delivered the stolen goods to Haifa,” he wrote.
And he added that now another such ship has arrived in Haifa.
“We once again warn Israel against accepting stolen grain and harming our relations,” Sybiga emphasized.
Earlier, Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist with the SeaKrime investigative project of the Myrotvorets Center, reported that the PANORMITIS vessel was arriving at the port of Haifa with a shipment of grain that may come from the occupied territories of Ukraine.
