Ukraine’s barley export pace lags last year by 45%

As of September 25, Ukraine exported 4.866 mln tons of grains and pulses in the MY 2026/27, down 1.113 mln tons, or 18.6%, from a year earlier.

The data were reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

As of September 25, Ukrainian wheat exports totaled 2.486 mln tons, down 1.682 mln tons, or nearly 40.3%, year-on-year.

Since the beginning of the new marketing year, Ukraine has exported 0.2 thsd tons of rye. Barley exports reached 431 thsd tons as of September 25, down 360 thsd tons, or 45%, from a year earlier.

Ukrainian corn exports totaled 1.884 mln tons, up 907 thsd tons, or more than double the volume exported a year earlier.

In addition, Ukraine exported 7.8 thsd tons of flour, equivalent to 10.4 thsd tons in grain terms, down 6.1 thsd tons, or 43.8%, year-on-year.
