Colder-than-usual, cloudy weather was observed on November 11-20. Winter grains in most areas stopped growing in fair and good condition, which will subsequently depend on weather and establishment of plants, UkrAgroConsult reports.
No precipitation was actually seen, just minor rain and rain with snow locally occurred, which replenished effective topsoil moisture.
Weather forecast for November 24-29:
– Precipitation (2-10 mm) is expected in the western, northern, central and eastern regions. No precipitation will be seen in the south;
– Snow and sleet are possible in the northern, western and eastern regions;
– Air temperature will be +3 … 5°C in the western, central and northern regions, +1 … 3°C in the east, and +6 … 8°C in the south;
– No dangerous weather events for winter crops are forecast.
