Ukraine. Winter crops are rated fair to good
The weather conditions were good for further development of winter crops and initial growth of early spring crops. Exposed to enough moisture and moderate warmth, winter cereal plants are actively growing, forming secondary roots and gradually increasing in size. The crops are rated fair to good, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Insignificant precipitation occurred all over the country. It added to effective soil moisture and helped keep its content at good and optimal levels.
Weather forecast for April 13-18:
– 25-35 mm of precipitation is expected in the western regions, 5-15 mm in the central, northern and southern regions, and 10-25 mm in the eastern ones;
– Air temperature will be +7 … +9°C in the daytime, +3 … +5°C at night in the West; +13 … +15°C in the daytime, +6 … +8°C at night in the North; +12 … +14°C in the daytime, +6 … +8°C at night in the central regions; +16 … +18°C in the daytime, +5 … +7°C at night in the East; +12 … +14°C in the daytime, +4 … +6°C at night in the South.
